The book, once splayed out on the floor, displays a set of two shoulders with a mirror-like surface where the face should be. Adjacent to that there are two empty sheets made intentionally in duotone to specify which sheet belongs to which shoulder. This space allows you to write, scrawl, scribble out your own story, aided by the illustrations and the manner of projection. From the center, you can either walk away as a young flapper girl dancing in the Roaring 20s or a Samurai dedicated to a life hinged to a rigorous moral code.The book initially started with a set of 2 characters - a set of two lives I’ve always wanted to live. I’ve chosen this book as a medium to instill anemoia, so that people can narrate their stories, their imaginary pain, their imaginary aspirations and live a little differently.
